Application in refractory materials

Silica sol based silicate refractory fibers are widely used as insulation materials in industrial furnaces and other equipment due to their excellent energy saving and high temperature resistance. Other amorphous refractory materials using silica sol as a binder improve their performance by not carrying various low melting point oxides, and have advantages such as high demolding strength, high temperature volume stability, and good seismic resistance.  

In addition, acid resistant cement or ceramics treated with silica sol can be used to produce acid resistant chemical equipment, which can prevent acid penetration and withstand high pressure.  

Amorphous refractory materials use silica sol as a binder, which will not deteriorate their performance at high temperatures due to the presence of low melting point oxides in the binder. The matrix of amorphous refractory materials is composed of high-grade or first-class high alumina clinker and silica powder, which forms a needle like secondary mullite network structure at high temperatures. Therefore, under high temperature strength, it has the advantages of high temperature volume stability and good resistance to temperature changes.
