Inkjet coating formula

Silica sol is a dispersed gel composed of spherical SiO2 particles, with a large surface area, the ability to interact with anions and cations, and a wide range of particle sizes. As a basic pigment component in inkjet coating formulations, it has the following functions:

1) Excellent printing clarity and optical density;

2) Good ink dispersion and absorption promote fast ink drying;

3) To a large extent, the amount of base material (adhesive) is reduced, and a typical formula is to use 10 parts or less of polyvinyl alcohol adhesive;  

4) Silica sol exists in liquid form and there is no problem of mixing dry SiO2 powder into a slurry, such as powdering and wetting.
